Morning! It's a brand new day for some fun in Japan! Let's do it.
Yummy, make-me-feel happy in my belly breakfast! Still lovin the bread.
Typhoon today! Actually...that was just the forecast. Apparently it came at night when I was asleep. Slightly disappointing. I was so ready to take on nature! Not even a puddle of rain?
School was school. Three hours of marathon thinking and learning.
What's new? Actually, everything was new. Every. day. No time for reviewing. Just keep on going!
After a quick lunch break, we took a bus to do some origami at the Ishikawa International Exchange Lounge near Katamachi.
We made these bird crane-like things! I was pretty impressed with everyone!
They looked pretty darn good!
Afterwards, we didn't want to start homework yet, so we took advantage of our close location to Katamachi and walked over to do some Purikura!
Purikura is crazy.
It derives from the phrase "Print Club"
(print club --> purinto kurabu --> purikura...get it?! Japanese love dem abbrevs)
It's basically a photo booth to the 9th power, where you get to add stickers and drawings and sparkles and every kind of wonderful and weird thing imaginable. so entertaining.
Check out some of our masterpieces:
Gaijin is kind of a nickname for foreigners (us), especially fitting when said alien is doing touristy, obviously non-Japanese things (again, us). I definitely heard a couple little elementary school boys laugh at us and say "Gaijin!" when we were walking. lolz. Since we already seem like we have "Gaijin written on our foreheads, we decided to make it official!
The magical touchscreen where all of our heart shaped, sparkle filled sticker fantasies come alive.
It was quite the afternoon activity. Purikura. The world would be a better place with more Purikura.
The fun had to end, and work had to begin so back to Rifare and home!
Tonight, my mom made spaghetti with clams! おいしそうね! This is one of my real mom's favorite dishes, so it reminded me of home!
Dinner, a little facebook, a lot of text book...lights out.
