With my morning routine, comes breakfast! Really yummy breakfast!
I am really much too spoiled.
Waking up to this is always such a treat!
A grilled piece of salmon, shiso squid we bought from Omicho Market, homemade tamogayaki, takuan small simmered fish, miso soup with nameko mushrooms, and rice with natto. :]
Class was pretty demanding today. Going through a chapter in two days is just so quick! Right when you learn about 25 Kanji, 60 vocab words, and at least 6 new grammar lessons, you start again with another chapter! It's crazy! It's hard to retain information when new stuff keeps getting thrown at me! Like never ending dodgeball. I'm just trying not to get smacked in the face...we'll see how that goes.
It's also amazing how fast time flies here! I wake up at 7:30, and soon enough I am waiting for the bus to go home at 6! School, lunch, socializing or scheduled activity, work, home, work. I am so glad my friends are here with me to keep me sane! Or am I...
Anyways, I left school when I couldn't take in another lesson of grammar. Over saturated brain.
As I was walking to the bus stop, I saw this girl in a typical Japanese elementary school uniform. I think they are cool. Especially the backpacks. They're called Randoseru. I want one. Except I always lug way too much stuff with me, so I don't think that would work. Bums.
Right when I returned home, dinner was ready! A much needed break...
I keep saying this, but I am just so impressed at each meal, everyday. Hence the million pictures of food. I want to remember this once I'm back eating at the dining halls!
Grilled salmon, steamed claims with water spinach, shiso ika, takuan, miso soup, and a thick slice of boiled daikon with the Yuzu miso I bought in Takayama as omiyage! I love how many different components there are at each meal. Variety! love it.
After dinner, I played with the kids a bit, before heading back to the books!
They really are adorable. Quite the characters. Haruki was especially enjoying his Japanese tangerine popsicle. Look at that grin! Oh, the little things in life. Like the little quiz I have tomorrow morning. Whoops. Still have to study for that one...
毎日のごはんは とても とても おいしそうです。しゃしんを 見たら、食べたいです。じゃあ、日本の食べ物の方が 学食の食べ物より おいしいですね。
